Third World Network (TWN) is a regional research and policy organization based in Penang, Malaysia. It was formed in 1984 and provides valuable information and resources on many issues, including: international trade, climate change, biotechnology, intellectual property rights, and global finance.
TWN’s objectives are to deepen the understanding of the development dilemmas and challenges facing developing countries and to contribute to policy changes in pursuit of just, equitable and ecologically sustainable development.

TWN monitors international fora where these issues are being discussed and negotiated and makes information and analysis available to civil society groups and governments across the global South through publications, web-based communication, and training.
