In the coming months, friends and allies of Inter Pares will be hosting daughters, mothers, grandmothers and other sexual outlaws in cities across Canada!
daughters, mothers, grandmothers and other sexual outlaws is a photo exhibit co-curated by Inter Pares and three international social justice organizations to document sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR) activism in Bangladesh, El Salvador and the Philippines. The exhibit showcases intergenerational efforts to advance sexual health and rights in contexts that are hostile towards bodily autonomy for girls, women and gender-diverse people. This work is essential—and comes with great risk.
It features the talent of photographers Taslima Akhter (Bangladesh), Jessica Xiomara Orellana Ventura (El Salvador) and Lisa Marie David (the Philippines).
Have a look to see if the exhibit is coming to a city near you!
