Today, our dedication to work inter pares, among equals, remains fiercely alive.

WHAT'S INSIDE

In 2025, we marked 50 years of Inter Pares and decades of collaboration with our counterpartsHere are a few examples of how our long-term approach to social justice leads to meaningful change, today.

For 20 years, we have supported Vigilance OGM—helping launch the organization, mobilize resources and expand its advocacy network. In 2025, we backed its research exposing pesticide contamination that exceeds international standards in drinking water across 10 Quebec cities, revealing regulatory gaps in Canada.

UNESCO recognized Guinea-Bissau’s Bijagós Archipelago as a Natural World Heritage Site in 2025—a status awarded after years of advocacy by our long-time counterpart Tiniguena. We celebrate this global recognition that will protect this vital coastal ecosystem for generations to come.

The Canadian government renewed its commitment to our sexual and reproductive health work with women, youth and LGBTQI+ communities in the Philippines. The new seven-year, $7 million commitment will support work with our counterpart Likhaan Center for Women’s Health.
