Our Work: By region Asia About this region Asia is the world’s most populous continent containing incredible diversity with respect to language, cultural, and history. Challenges faced by Asian activists include fighting for women’s rights, defending their land and promoting food sovereignty, struggling for lasting peace and true democracy, as well as confronting unjust trade practices and addressing burgeoning inequality. Our Work on this region In Asia, we work with regional organizations that conduct research and advocacy on issues such as development, the environment and trade. We work with local groups in the Philippines, Burma, India and Bangladesh. Areas of focus include reproductive rights, food sovereignty, refugee rights, self-determination for the most marginalized and the environment.
