While the Ottawa exhibit has ended, the photos and their stories will travel across Canada and are also accessible online. Bodily autonomy at the heart of reproductive health and justice For 50 years, Inter Pares has supported global struggles for SRHR. This article looks back at key moments in the fight for bodily autonomy—from stopping the distribution of unsafe contraceptives in Bangladesh to connecting survivors of forced sterilization across borders. It also highlights how long-term partnerships have expanded access to contraception, abortion rights, and gender-based violence support in multiple countries. Sustaining SRHR activism for the long term “[W]hen we come together—sharing knowledge, strategies, and support—we build a movement that can’t be ignored,” says Sharaban Tohura of Nijera Kori. This article explores how we help strengthen our counterparts’ work to expand SRHR initiatives, trusting their leadership and expertise.
