Inter Pares a facilité une séance d'information de Za Uk pour le personnel d'Affaires mondiales Canada, qui a eu l'occasion d'en apprendre davantage sur le travail humanitaire du CHRO dans la région occidentale de la Birmanie, dans l'État Chin. "Des atrocités de masse sont commises et des crimes sont perpétrés à grande échelle contre le peuple birman." Za Uk et ses collègues travaillent d'arrache-pied pour sensibiliser l'opinion, documenter les abus et défendre les droits du peuple Chin, notamment contre le travail forcé, la répression politique, la discrimination raciale et les persécutions religieuses commises par la junte militaire birmane.
