Sudanese Association for Gender Inclusion and Advocacy (SAGIA)

The Sudanese Association for Gender Inclusion and Advocacy (SAGIA) is a distinguished organization dedicated to dismantling discriminatory laws and social norms that are based on Sexual Orientation, Gender Identity and Expression, and Sex Characteristics (SOGIESC) in Sudan.

The empowerment of women and LGBTIQ+ people is fundamental to the organization's values. This is accomplished by creating safe and inclusive spaces where people with diverse SOGIESC can actively share their unique experiences, address their needs and obtain proper responsive support. Strategically, SAGIA persistently endeavors to amplify silenced and marginalized voices by employing intersectional strategies such as impactful campaigning, influential lobbying, and advocacy.
