In this webinar, you will: 

  • hear first-hand experiences of United Church members in Zambia who are working to defend their territory and livelihoods in communities affected by Canadian mining corporations
  • better understand how the “Open for Justice” campaign is mobilizing Canadians to advocate for laws and policies that will make Canadian mining companies more accountable for their actions overseas and how you can be part of the campaign
  • increase your knowledge and confidence through sharing of best practices of how to prepare for contacting and meeting with your elected officials about mining issues
  • learn about other actions you can take to educate yourselves, your congregations and/or your communities
