This month, Inter Pares is screening a 30-minute documentary from one of our counterparts, the Sudanese Organization for Research and Development (SORD), on child marriage. The film brings the voices of girls as well as those of activists who are addressing this rights violation.
After the film, we will be discussing girls' and women's rights in Sudan with Fahima Hashim. Fahima is a Sudanese feminist and Inter Pares collaborator, and the founder of Salmmah Women's Resource Centre. Fahima will offer a commentary on the film and opening remarks, and lead us in discussion.
This event is free. Seating is limited. RSVP now.
Details: Thursday, April 14th at 7 p.m. at the Inter Pares office at 221 Laurier Ave. East, Ottawa.
P.S. There will be pizza!
