Stories of Struggle news : Updates December 14, 2017 Share Print We reached our goal! 1,697 donors made a gift during our Stories of Struggle campaign, which contributed $336,016 to Inter Pares' work. Thank you! A very special thank you to Narsamma, Najwa, Adriana, and Marcela for sharing their journeys with us, giving us an opportunity to nourish our souls by hearing their stories of struggle. Three stories that illuminate the transformative power of people working together to build a more equal world. Three stories that tell of pathways out of oppression, of sharing age-old wisdom with new generations, of the power of love. Thanks also to our anonymous donor in Montreal who agreed to make an amazing gift of $5,000 if we met our goal of reaching 1,500 people. You know who you are and you go above and beyond in your support. We can't thank you enough! Our donors from communities like Flatrock, Newfoundland to Rouyn-Noranda, Quebec, to Cross Lake First Nation, Manitoba, to Campbell River, BC, are standing up for social justice. Every gift is special and gives meaning to our work. Thanks to the Inter Pares community of friends and supporters. It is an honour to be part of this social justice movement with you. Authentic change to bring about justice and peace requires that girls and women have the opportunity to participate fully in their societies. reply
