African Awakening: A Conversation with Firoze Manji and Molly Kane resources : Video Share Print On April 3, 2012, Inter Pares, Carleton University's Institute of African Studies, and Octopus Books presented to a packed Ottawa audience a lively discussion with Firoze Manji and Molly Kane from Pambazuka, a pan-African news organization and an Inter Pares counterpart. The conversation centred around the 2011 uprisings across the continent, which were the focus of Pambazuka's new book, African Awakening.
