This position is a one-year contract position.

The Fundraising Program Manager (Acquisition) position

As a member of Inter Pares’ communications and fundraising team, the Fundraising Program Manager will be responsible for building relationships with existing Inter Pares donors, as well as reaching new supporters. The Fundraising Program Manager will share responsibility for donor acquisition, with a particular focus on digital acquisition.

Responsibilities of the Fundraising Program Manager (Acquisition):

  • Supporting the organization’s digital and online presence, in line with our values, mission, and vision. 
  • Develop the acquisition project either in support with consultants or in-house to run smoothly, meeting our goals. 
  • Stewarding digital/online annual and digital fundraising campaigns like Mother’s Day, Year-end, etc, ensuring objectives are met and making recommendations for improvements. 
  • Review the website to strengthen it from a fundraising perspective.

The candidate should have the following experience, skills and attributes:

  • Solid experience and/or aptitudes in all or most of the above responsibilities  
  • Commitment to social justice, feminist principles, equity, anti-racism and anti-oppression
  • Experience in developing/stewarding digital fundraising & acquisition campaigns
  • Experience in working with donor databases (ex: Raisers Edge, Bloomerang, Fundraise Up)
  • Experience in reading and analyzing data for segmentation, and testing strategies to optimize donor acquisition initiatives
  • Experience writing and editing fundraising and communications materials, with attention to detail and ability to write for a variety of audiences
  • Analytical skills and the ability to think and work strategically
  • Ability to prepare and update budgets, manage invoices, and support reporting and projections
  • Commitment to collective work; ability to work in a team and without direct supervision

Languages

  • Excellent writing, speaking, and editing skills in English
  • Good to excellent written and oral communication skills in French

Salary and benefits

The salary for this position is $78,166. This comes with a generous benefits package, extended health coverage and retirement planning benefits. All new staff begin with four weeks of vacation.

Workplace 

The position is based in our office in Ottawa. Inter Pares has a hybrid work model. For newly hired staff, in-office presence is required for 30 days during the first three months of onboarding. In office presence is required for all staff at least five days/month, including all in-person program and staff meetings.

Candidates must be available for an interview in December and/or January. The primary interview will be in English and will include some questions asked in French. Inter Pares assumes reasonable interview-related expenses; as compensation for time spent engaging with our interview process, all candidates who reach the interview stage will also be paid commensurate with current co-management salary, prorated by the hour.
